The Turfan Sofa reinterprets the language of public transit architecture as a collectible object. Inspired by vintage railway-station benches, its silhouette is defined by an oversized tubular frame that wraps continuously around the seat, transforming an industrial form into a sculptural presence.

The structure is crafted from hand-bent steel tubes with an extra-thick profile, finished in a deep oxblood lacquer that gives the piece a rich, almost liquid appearance. The asymmetrical armrests introduce movement and tension, allowing the sofa to feel more like a gallery installation than conventional seating.

Behind the cushions, a woven horsehair panel or alternatively, cast bronze mesh with a hand-patinated finish creates texture and depth while referencing the perforated surfaces of historic station furniture.
