The Clara Sofa reimagines upholstery through the language of fashion. Inspired by the fluid draping of eveningwear, sheer burgundy mesh wraps and crosses over a richly upholstered velvet body, creating a sculptural interplay of transparency, texture, and light. Each band is individually hand-positioned to reveal the velvet beneath, allowing the upholstery to become part of the composition rather than something concealed.

At either end, oversized rolled armrests reinterpret the traditional scroll arm as a bold sculptural gesture. Soft, enveloping curves contrast with the precise rhythm of the draped mesh, creating a silhouette that feels both timeless and unexpected. The gently curved back embraces the sitter while giving the piece a calm architectural presence from every angle.

Built on a kiln-dried hardwood frame and upholstered in premium velvet, Clara is finished with discreet hand-turned walnut feet that create the impression of a sofa floating just above the floor. Every detail is considered, from the couture-inspired draping to the refined upholstery tailoring, resulting in a statement piece designed to anchor contemporary interiors with warmth, elegance, and character.

 Care

Vacuum the velvet regularly using a soft upholstery attachment. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to preserve the richness of the fabric. The sheer mesh should be handled gently and professionally cleaned when required.

Each Clara Sofa is handcrafted to order. Slight variations in the draping of the mesh and the natural characteristics of the velvet make every piece unique. Production lead time is approximately 10–14 weeks.
